The U.S. Army Fires Center of Excellence and Fort Sill, Oklahoma, provides Advanced Individual Training (AIT) instruction to students in the 13M MOS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct AIT Soldiers in the 13M MOS, covering classroom, hands-on, simulation/virtual, field environment, and live fire training.
- Provide input for updates/training to the Program of Instruction (POI).
- Maintain and update lesson plans, ensuring they align with current doctrinal publications.
- Present instruction on individual and crew-level skills, tasks, and duties for the employment and operation of 13M systems and equipment.
- Administer examinations, evaluate test results, and provide recommendations for improvement to academic deficiency panels.
- Use prescribed texts, student outlines, advance sheets, worksheets, technical and field manuals, schematics, logic diagrams, and publications in preparation and conduct of ADA TADSS support.
- Conduct periodic reviews of the POI to ensure all materials and instructions agree with current, applicable doctrinal publications and make recommendations for updates.
- Assist in preparing, setting up, and tearing down necessary equipment, including vehicles, before and after daily operations.
- Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires, fuse replacements, and clean vehicles and equipment when returning from field training.
- Ensure safe loading/unloading and operation of military equipment/system vehicles and protect cargo and personnel.
