Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Senior Administrative Specialist on a key contract for the Headquarters Air Force. The candidate must have experience supporting a GO or similar role (must be a military GO equivalent).
AQP directs, plans, and programs for development, procurement, and product support of $10B portfolio of global power programs. The portfolio includes legacy fighters, fifth-generation aircraft, as well as sixth generation aircraft programs. It encompasses the entirety of the DAF munitions procurements to include weapons currently used in Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) such as Joint Directed Attack Munition (JDAM), Small Diameter Bomb (SDB), and Hellfire missiles. Finally, the Global Power portfolio captures the DAF investments in the nuclear triad to include the legacy and modernized of the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) and Cruise Missile programs. The portfolio is increasingly vital cross-cutting Air Force Global Power priorities such as Nuclear Command Control & Communications, Operational Imperatives, and emerging Air Force kinetic priorities.
The candidate will provide support to the General Officer (GO) to ensure effective use of time and productive interactions with staff and other military/government executives. Personnel will handle a wide range of executive support-related tasks involving administrative functions, research, and management of tasks and projects. The objective is to provide specialized expertise to complement the organization’s inherent resources for effective and efficient mission accomplishment and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence. Personnel will handle a wide range of executive support-related tasks involving administrative specialist functions (senior leader calendar/schedule management and travel management), research, and management of tasks and projects.

Personnel will handle a wide range of executive support-related tasks involving administrative specialist functions (senior leader calendar/schedule management and travel management), research, and management of tasks and projects.
The tasks for this position include:
- Responsible for schedule management, office management, communication liaison, information preparation, company records management, data analysis, and representing the General Officer (GO) to others.
- Uses discretion and judgement and knowledge of organization to facilitate the executive's activities.
- Conserves the GOs time by reading, researching, prioritizing, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collects and analyzes information; and initiates communications.
- Manages GO's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
- Travel planning includes creating orders and vouchers in DTS and managing all aspects of the General's travel.
- Completes and manages projects, distributes work to others, follows up on results. Works closely with the GO and other assigned support staff.
- Plans and orchestrates complex and detailed meetings and events at the Pentagon and NCR locations.
- Handles confidential information, correspondence, and communications.
- Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as coordinated with the COR.
- A total of 10 years of relevant experience, including supporting a General Officer (G.O) or other military equivalent.
- Strong understanding of DoD travel regulations (FTS) and DTS.
- Master's degree in any discipline, or a Bachelor's Degree with an additional 8 years of relevant experience.
- Must be able to work 8:00am - 4:30pm daily at the Pentagon.
- 12 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree.
- BA/BS degree plus 8 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree.
