Responsibilities
- Safely operate shuttle vehicles, ensuring the safe transport of passengers to their location.
- Adhere to scheduled routes and maintain timely departures and arrivals.
- Communicate effectively with passengers regarding schedules, routes, and any changes.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shuttle vehicle.
- Address any passenger concerns or inquiries in a courteous manner.
- Keep accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that may occur during transit.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
- Experience in school bus driving or paratransit services is preferred.
- Previous shuttle driving experience is a plus.
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including motor coaches and commercial vehicles.
- Excellent customer service skills to enhance the passenger experience.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for performing routine maintenance checks on vehicles.
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations while ensuring passenger safety.
