In the context of UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) systems, the primary responsibility of the National Technical Support Specialist (NTSS) is to provide quality technical support and information to Nationwide Power field service personnel, sales representatives, marketing team members, active clients, and prospective clients.

Examples Of Technical Support
- Assist in UPS troubleshooting, system diagnosis, procedures, and part confirmation via phone, e-mail, tickets, or Team calls
- Assist in equipment sales solutions.
- E.g. Sizing equipment, verification of reuse of equipment
- Assist in technical training content development
- To ensure that the NTSS remains informed about current UPS system processes and procedures, as well as upcoming new UPS products, the UPS Technical Support Specialist will be required to participate in UPS maintenance activities.
- Initiating, creating, and implementing Technical Advisories based on support calls
- Logging equipment, and procedures for future technical training
- Communicating with Team members, and OEM representatives for solutions to technical support requests
- Continually strive for Zero Defects [ZD] in technical support
- Maintain an environment of high technical proficiency
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Minimum 5 years’ experience directly working on UPS systems
- Advanced understanding of UPS systems and auxiliary equipment such as Batteries, Network Management Cards, and Maintenance Bypass Cabinets
- BA or BS in Electronic Engineering is desired
- Relatable Military training and critical power industry experience are considered desirable
- UPS Manufacturer Training background is desired
- Contractor’s license (not required, however highly desired)
- Excellent communication skills, writing, email, and phone skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Computer Literacy
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat
