We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead process control and improvement initiatives in polymer extrusion and downstream fabrication. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, quality, and safety across manufacturing operations.
You Will
- Provide daily engineering support for extrusion and downstream fabrication operations.
- Develop and maintain process control plans, work instructions, and ensure adherence to quality requirements and engineering standards.
- Apply statistical methods to enhance process capability, repeatability, first-pass yields, and product conformance.
- Collaborate with Maintenance teams to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment.
- Participate in kaizen initiatives to boost quality, productivity, and safety.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, leveraging expertise in product design, materials, tooling, equipment capabilities, and engineering principles.
- Lead projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency through the application of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Research, justify, and manage capital equipment purchases, overseeing projects from proposal through installation and training.
- Design machinery, tools, and fixtures using 3D solid modeling software.
- Develop specifications for new and existing manufacturing machines and equipment.
- Create and update process routings and standard cost data.
- Ensure compliance with Watts Water Technologies safety policies and procedures, promoting safe work practices at all times.
