What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Improvement & QA Engineer position at Nationwide Technical Resources Corp?
- Evaluate and address the company’s quality issues.
- To lead all activities to maintain the company’s quality system and ISO certification.
- Maintain Nonconforming Material Reports and periodical audits to verify the effectiveness of Quality Systems.
- Work with laboratory personnel in activities and evaluation related to failure investigations.
- Provide statistical analysis information to improve product quality and process improvements.
- Take a lead on supplier’s audits and quality control.
- Maintenance of IS9001 Quality Management System QMS to include SOPs, Approved Suppliers List.
- Maintenance of IS9001 Quality Management System QMS to include Internal and External Corrective Actions and all Non-conformances.
- Maintenance of IS9001 Quality Management System QMS to include Internal and External audits.
- All Quality Management System QMS procedures and document control.
- Initiates Process improvements based on critical matrix review, Lead process improvement projects and collaboration with other departments to be able to meet customer’s expectations.
- Supplier audit control; Heat Treatment audits and casting supplier quality audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field is required.
- 3-5 years’ knowledge of ISO 9001 quality system and QMS is a plus
- Audit qualification or certification is a plus
- Must be assertive, have good verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency is required
- SAP or similar ERP Experience
- Steel Foundry or Steel Fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic or advanced math to practical situations.
