Nationwide Technical Resources Corp. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector for an aerospace manufacturer. The ideal candidate has 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of products
- Utilize various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to accurately measure dimensions
- Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or abnormalities in the products
- Analyze test data and inspection results to identify trends or areas for improvement
- Collaborate with production teams to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Document inspection findings, maintain accurate records, and prepare detailed reports for management review
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures
Requirements:
- 3 years of work experience or related work experience required
- College degree or equivalent required
- Able to perform First Article inspection in accordance with AS9100 in process and final inspection processes
- Knowledge of operating electronic inspection equipment, such as coordinate-measuring machines (CMMs) a plus
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 5S and/or Lean Manufacturing
- Must be a US Citizen or lawful resident of the US due to ITAR
