We are looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team and provide onsite psychiatric care. Under the direction of the Director of Advanced Practice Providers, you will diagnose and treat mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct onsite psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric disorders across diverse patient populations.
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications while assessing effectiveness and side effects.
- Order and interpret lab tests and screenings as needed.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medication management, and lifestyle interventions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.
- Address urgent and emergent mental health needs as required.
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, therapists, and medical staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Participate in administrative duties, including lab result review, medication refills, and required documentation.
- Attend scheduled collaborative meetings and seek physician consultation when necessary.
- Support and provide consultation to other clinics when available.
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
