Key Responsibilities:
- Escort customers to their tables.
- Assist customers with seating arrangements.
- Assist host or hostess by answering phones to take to-go orders, and by greeting, seating, and thanking guests.
- Presents menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
- Takes orders from patrons for food or beverages.
- Writes patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, and enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
- Prepares hot or cold beverages.
- Checks patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Informs customers of daily specials.
- Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
- Serves food or beverages to patrons, and prepares or serves specialty dishes at tables as required.
- Checks with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and takes action to correct any problems.
- Processes customer bills or payments.
- Covers and cleans the area assigned and follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Stocks serving stations or dining areas with food or supplies.
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Previous server experience preferred.
- Valid HIS Food Handler's Certificate required.
- Current ABLE Commission Liquor License required.
