KOMAN Holdings, LLC has a lucrative career opportunity for a seasoned Construction Superintendent (CS) with federal contracting experience to support projects at the Oak Ridge Reservation. The CS will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and contractual requirements. Ideal candidates should have experience working with DOE and to a lesser extent, DOD and US Army Corps of Engineers. While the position will be local, limited travel may be required intermittently.

The successful candidate will show relevant experience and be expected to:
- Support proposal development by review of SOW, construction drawings and specifications
- Perform site walks and supports Project Manager in development of the project team
- Experience directing union personnel and subcontractor personnel
- Plan and directs all construction activities on the project.
- Supervises and mentors all on-site field staff, ensures activities are compliant with work scope and provides constructive feedback where necessary
- Co-lead the Plan of the Day with the Safety Manager to ensure all personnel understand the safe work requirements.
- Establish a safe work environment and documents safety concerns and positively recognizes employee commitment to safe work practices.
- Coordinate all labor, materials, and equipment for the project.
- Work with Project Controls to provide "three week" look ahead schedules information and reviews them with the project team, subcontractors, and clients
- Maintain construction production factors during project implementation
- Attend weekly and monthly client meetings and maintains clear communication channel with clients and the project team and resolves problems as they arise.
- Plan and conduct quality inspections with the quality manager to ensure compliance.
- Implement safety and quality guidelines.
- Procure the appropriate heavy equipment and arranges regular maintenance.
- Produce accurate and detailed daily construction reports and submits as required.
What will top candidates bring to the table?
- 5 years experience as a Construction Superintendent.
- 5 years Experience with federal government contracting is highly desired.
- Ability to obtain a Q clearance
- Current OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid is required.
- Ability to manage diverse projects, subcontractors, resources, union/direct hire personnel and teams.
- Knowledge of quality, safety and health guidelines for DOE construction job sites.
- Understands construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
- Understanding of P6 project scheduling software.
