The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality and contractual obligations.

What does the position do?
- Plans and directs all construction activities on the project.
- Supervises and mentors all field staff and provides constructive feedback.
- Coordinates all labor, materials, and equipment for the project.
- Creates & manages "three week" look ahead schedules and reviews them with the project team, subcontractors, and clients.
- Reads and understands construction plans and scope of work thoroughly to prepare action plans.
- Partners with project team to track project schedule and budgets.
- Establishes a safe work environment, facilitates safety meetings, updates safety logs, and documents safety concerns.
- Maintains clear communication channel with clients and the project team and resolves problems as they arise.
- Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities.
- Implement safety and quality guidelines.
- Procures the appropriate equipment and arranges regular maintenance.
- Communicates with clients and internal team on project progress.
- Produces accurate and detailed daily reports.
What will top candidates bring to the table?
- 5 years experience as a Construction Superintendent.
- Experience with airfield operations, pavement type projects is highly required.
- Experience with federal government contracting is desired.
- Ability to manage diverse projects, subcontractors, resources, and teams.
- Knowledge of quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
- Understands construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Willing to travel and/or work remotely for periods of time as required.
- Understanding of project scheduling software.
