Preschool Teacher/Site Supervisor
Nativity of Christ Preschool is seeking a part-time Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking for part time work with the potential for additional hours as the school grows! Our current need is for an after school provider for our aftercare program from 3:00 - 5:00 PM 5 days a week. Ideally you're hours would be from 3:00 to 5:15 PM or poentially 2:00 to 5:15 PM depending on your needs.
Our school is nestled safely atop of a hill in Southern Novato. We surve students from 2 years old until entry to Kindergarten. We currently have tiny class slizes and a wonderful Teacher/Director who oversees our curriculum and our kiddos. Please reach out if you're interested in this position! Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is expected to have:
Education:
- 12 ECE/CD units (incl. core)
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience(Preferred)
- Experience with 2-5 year-olds highly preferred
- Six months of work experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program.
- Experience working with children and families from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
- Be able to pass health examination and background clearance
- CPR/First Aid and Health & Safety Training
Physical Requirements:
- Stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Bend and sit on the floor
- Full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit
Duties Include but not limited to:
- Creating and maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment for children
- Collaborating with parents and staff to ensure effective communication
Skills: To excel in this role, applicants should possess the following skills:
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, curriculum development, and assessment techniques.
- Ability to communicate with ease and positivity with students, staff, parents, and supervisors.

Being Greek Orthodox is not a requirement to teach at NOCP
