Job Description
Natixis is searching for a VP-level Loan Review Officer to join the New York team to help support the Managing Director and other team members in their various credit risk analysis and examination activities. This position is an opportunity to expand fundamental risk knowledge about multiple lending sectors, transactions structures, as well as contribute to the evolving loan review framework.
Loan Review's mandate covers credit and related trading and / or derivative exposures originated by and managed by various Front Office business units and Credit Risk Management, in Global Markets, Investment Banking, and Distribution and Portfolio Management. Loan Review performs comprehensive assessment and analysis of Natixis' credit risk, reporting on the quality of risk and the effectiveness of the bank's risk management practices, adherence to policy and procedures, as well as compliance with regulatory guidance and application of market best practices.
The Loan Review function is an independent 3rd line function that reports to the Head of Audit for the Americas, who in turns reports to the Natixis Chief Audit Officer in Head Office in Paris, France.
The primary responsibility will be to participate in portfolio reviews and transaction analysis of business units under Loan Review's purview and the Credit Risk Management function which supports these. This also includes transversal reviews of functions and activities which cut across multiple business units.
Responsibilities :
Participate in credit portfolio reviews to support the execution of the Loan Review plan. In reviewing individual transactions in the loan portfolio reviews, the candidate will prepare reports documenting risk assessments, including the following, on an individual and portfolio basis :
- Quality of analysis and due diligence in onboarding clients and risk.
- Accuracy of risk ratings, adequacy of the risk rating process, and timeliness of rating adjustments.
- Quality of risk, and its ongoing management and monitoring.
- Adherence to policies and procedures.
- Compliance with regulatory guidance and application of markets best practices.

The salary range for the VP position will be between $150,000 -$180,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
