What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Originator Infrastructure & Energy Finance position at Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking?
Senior banker (ED-level) responsible for the origination and execution of transactions across the IEF sectors – power and renewables, telecom, natural resources, transportation, and mining. The candidate is expected to have strong, long established relationships with clients in these areas. In addition to originating and executing project finance transactions, he/she/they will be responsible for generating cross sell across M&A, DCM, leveraged loans, Derivatives and other product areas and as such should be experienced and knowledgeable in these areas. The candidate will have primary responsibility for all client facing and internal responsibilities.
- Primary responsibility for origination of transactions across IEF sectors
- In coordination with Coverage, consistently call on the firm’s clients in the IEF sectors
- Work with Coverage, DCM, ASF, and PJ Solomon to continually identify and execute on market opportunities
- Ability to lead, as required, project finance transactions in Transport/PPP and environment sector and Advisory engagements
- Work closely with Syndications in identifying optimal channels of distribution. Work with Syndications to implement the bank O2D strategy: review market conditions, liquidity, underwriting strategy and define path to achieve the bank final hold and sell-down objectives;
- Work with key product groups and partners – Coverage, DCM, ASF, Derivatives, and PJ Solomon to maximize cross-sell opportunities for the firm
- Work with Head of Infrastructure & Energy Finance to track and ensure that fee targets established in the Budget are met
- Oversee the timely and quality submission of proposed transactions to Ficom, BizCom and Credit Committee.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Engineering, sciences, and 14 years of experience in infrastructure financing, advisory or related area or
- MBA or comparable graduate degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience in infrastructure financing, advisory or related area
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and within tight deadlines, during bidding processes.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey thoughts clearly and succinctly and to communicate pertinent complex information in a clear and organized manner.

The salary range for this position will be between $260,000 - $300,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
Salary : $260,000 - $300,000
