A Training Mentor will be one to implement and provide training, access program efficiency for additional trainings for employees and programs. A training mentor will work to implement new training, policies, or processes per respected program to ensure consistent protocol is taking place. They will also assist programs in evaluating areas of concern and translate those into training opportunities. They will train new hires as well in a one-on-one coaching fashion as well providing administrative tasks, train employees and improve their skills and knowledge to boost employee productivity and the company’s needs.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Train new hires and coach one-on-one in their respective departments.
- Implement new training policies and procedures to respective departments and roles.
- Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
- Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers.
- Become knowledgeable of training procedures, manuals, guides, and course materials.
- Present trainings using various forms and formats including group discussion, lectures, simulations, and videos.
- Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
- Develop presentation slides, charts, and documentation for processes.
- Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling classes, setting up systems and equipment, and coordinating enrollment.
- De-escalate skills with ability to address employee performance or behavior concerns with training to improve performance.
