Position Overview
The Director of Sales for the Southern Region will be responsible for driving sales growth, leading the sales team, and developing strategies to enhance our market presence. This role requires extensive experience in the cannabis industry and a deep understanding of our customer base. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales targets, building strong relationships, and effectively managing a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the Southern Region that aligns with company goals.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
2. Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and support to enhance team capabilities.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners within the Southern Region.
- Understand customer needs and preferences to tailor sales approaches and solutions effectively.
4. Market Analysis and Reporting
- Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Conduct competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for differentiation.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and product development teams to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate on promotional campaigns and product launches to maximize impact and reach.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the cannabis industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the cannabis market, customer base, and regulatory environment.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to analyze data and market trends to drive strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM software.
Salary
$120,000 to $150,000 bonus
Supervisory Responsibility
