Job Description :
The Human Resources Generalist role reports to the HR Manager and is responsible for recruiting, employee engagement, timecard management, partnering with leadership on coaching and development, as well as other Human Resources functions. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m / -. The HR team is located in Aurora, OH and the position will involve some travel to our other facilities in Streetsboro, Ohio.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Process employee insurance enrollment, audit and correct time card issues, data entry in timekeeping system.
- Answer employee requests and questions.
- Assist with the new employee hiring process and onboarding procedures.
- Maintenance of employee records and files
- Assist with the performance review and termination processes.
- Assist with the recruitment and interview processes.
- Conducts new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Partners closely with the HR Manager to develop new strategies for employee engagement.
- Maintaining training records and keeping all relevant documentation in employee files.
- Partners with department leaders to determine the specific requirements in each job description.
- Partners closely with HR Manager and leadership to ensure policies and procedures are applied consistently.
- Identifies company safety training needs and partners with EHS leaders to revise and develop safety policies and procedural training.
- Understands federal & state occupational safety and health regulations and monitors regulatory changes as they occur.
- Conducts investigations and partners with HR Manager on outcomes.
- Partners closely with HR Manager to create an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.
- Ability to build strong partnerships with employees throughout every level of the organization
