Position Summary :
The Field Safety Coordinator is responsible for promoting and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees within Natural Gas Services Group. This role collaborates closely with the HSE Group and Field Operations to develop, implement, and uphold safety policies and procedures, striving to prevent workplace injuries and promote a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safety Policy Development : Collaborate to design, prepare, and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures tailored to field operations.
- Operational Oversight : Monitor field operations, with the authority to halt any activities that pose a risk to employee safety or equipment integrity.
- Injury Prevention : Identify and evaluate opportunities to prevent workplace injuries, accidents, and health-related issues, proactively addressing potential hazards.
- Training & Development : Conduct employee training sessions on applicable safety standards and best practices, ensuring all staff are informed and training is current / up to date.
- Field Inspections & Audits : Perform regular safety inspections and audits in the field to assess compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Behavior-Based Safety Observations : Conduct behavior-based safety observations (BBS) to identify unsafe behaviors and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Accident & Incident Investigations : Assist in conducting thorough investigations of accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all field operations comply with relevant regulations, including DOT, and OSHA, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of safety standards.
- New Hire Orientation : Facilitate new hire orientation sessions focused on safety protocols, ensuring all new employees are equipped with the knowledge to work safely.
- Monthly Safety Meetings : Organize and lead monthly safety meetings to discuss safety performance, share best practices, and reinforce the importance of safety in the workplace.
- Additional Duties : Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall safety initiatives of the organization.
