Role Summary/Purpose:
This position requires an experienced, motivated, and innovative sourcing individual that knows how to be on the winning side of a negotiation, while supporting the PNW Measurement supply and procurement operations for direct and indirect/MRO products. The professional must be committed to discovering cost-effective solutions and suppliers and building partnerships within the product line to help the company meet our performance goals.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Sourcing Leader, you will:
- Develop and implement a sourcing strategy by setting, tracking, and maintaining deflation, analyzing spend, and utilizing synergy commitments while meeting aggressive delivery timeframes
- Manage supplier relationships and develop partnerships where appropriate, ensuring strong partnerships and negotiating favorable terms
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, ensuring they align with quality, cost, and delivery standards
- Lead supplier selection process through RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with supplier quality to mitigate supplier COQ and defects and maximize supplier recovery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, operations, finance) to ensure alignment of sourcing requirements
- Utilize data and analytics to inform decisions and track performance against targets
- Align sourcing strategies with broader organizational objectives, ensuring a holistic approach to procurement and supply chain management
- Coordinate efforts across departments to streamline product launches, ensure timely deliveries, and reduce lead times
- Project Planning: Define sourcing project goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets. Break down large initiatives into manageable phases, establishing key milestones and deadlines
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., legal, finance, operations) to ensure smooth project execution, keeping everyone informed and aligned
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to sourcing projects and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. This may involve adjusting timelines, revising contracts, or identifying alternate suppliers
- Progress Tracking: Continuously monitor the progress of sourcing projects, ensuring deadlines are met and any roadblocks are addressed promptly
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on sourcing project status, performance metrics, and any risks or issues encountered
- Act as the primary point of contact for sourcing and other business units, including operations, logistics, product development, and finance
- Communicate with Sales and Ops teams to understand current and future demand and establish action plans accordingly
- Assist in developing global sourcing strategies to mitigate headwinds and improve security of supply
- Thorough understanding of S&OP process, including supply forecasting to develop clear communication of expectations and specifications
- Communicate KPI’s strategies and results leadership teams as required
- Prepare appropriate risk management for supply contracts and agreements (sole vs. single vs. multi-source strategies)
- Propose and implement mature sourcing policies
- Handle special projects as assigned
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience leading projects
- Strong negotiation, contract, and alliance management skills
- Working knowledge or awareness of PCB manufacturing and sensor technology
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent ability to communicate with internal customers and suppliers
- Thorough knowledge of Master Supply Agreement (MSA) content and structure, including, but not limited to, legal terms and conditions, transportation, INCO terms, payment terms, SOX compliance, and import and export

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in sourcing/procurement for direct and indirect spend, preferably in an electronics or electro-mechanical industry preferred.
- Proficient in Excel
- ERP/MRP and manufacturing plant experience
- Experience in contract management and supplier negotiations.
