Position Summary: The Human Resource Director serves as a trusted and collaborative advisor, providing a proactive, practical and valued HR perspective in partnership with company management, and as the strategic partner in support of attracting, motivating and retaining top talent. The Director possesses strong skills in building relationships, diagnosing issues, advising, influencing and guiding all levels of management on the HR implications of business decisions related to aspects of people-management and leadership. The Director will utilize experience and analytics in order to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiencies of current HR programs and processes, as well as advise upon and implement necessary changes of the entire employee lifecycle.

- Serves as the strategic change agent, demonstrating the ability to influence, negotiate and gain buy-in at all levels within the organization
- Drives employee engagement and change management activities
- Coaches executive leadership through change management process. Leverages and tracks early dynamic condition indicators that may impact the success of achieving and sustaining change management activities
- Utilizes workforce data analytics and business metrics to identify and analyze talent implications, trends, formulate insights and makes recommendations on key business solutions and opportunities to influence and drive employee engagement, performance, retention and influence leadership decision making
- Collaborate with senior leadership on staffing, recruiting and retention strategies
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives and surveys to support the human resource compliance and strategy needs
- Provides guidance to leadership in the administration and interpretation of policies, assuring consistent administration
- Administer or oversee the administration of HR functions, including employee relations, HRIS, compensation, payroll, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, performance management, employment and retention, recognition, environmental health and safety, and training and development
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the company attracts and retains top talent
- Monitors and ensures the company’s compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Serves as a strategic partner concerning escalated employee relations issues
- Meets financial objectives by developing, implementing and owning human resources budget, scheduling and monitoring expenditures and analyzing and addressing variances
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure compliance with all payroll and tax laws
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
- Five (5 ) plus years of human resource management with a strategic focus
- A comparable combination of education, training and work experience which provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position may be substituted for the minimum qualifications
- Experience developing effective training programs
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn ADP, HRIS, payroll, performance and talent management system
- Experience in manufacturing/distribution industry and/or a cGMP environment preferred
- HRCI or SHRM certification preferred

- Excellent knowledge and understanding of computer applications and software programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills, to be able to interact professionally and effectively with team members, executive management and vendors
- Excellent organization, prioritization, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong strategic skills and the ability to act as a visionary for the organization
Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance, including Federal and State laws, rules and regulations pertaining to Human Resources functions and practices
