Job Description
The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for coordinating all administrative aspects of scheduling patients for surgery. This includes coordination and communication
Supervisory Responsibilities: none
Duties/Responsibilities: coordinate all administrative aspects of scheduling patients for surgery
- Submit surgery paperwork to surgery centers that is accurate, fully completed, and on-time
- Explain patient’s financial responsibility
- Provide clear pre-op instructions
- Secure pre-authorization from insurance
- Secure health clearance from other medical providers as needed
- Align on schedules for clinic and surgery days with internal leadership and external stakeholders
- Resolve scheduling conflicts as needed
- Manage team calendar
- Communicate surgery schedule to surgeons
- Collect and bill for cosmetic surgeries
- Ensure that all HIPAA rules and regulations are in compliance and followed
- Travel to satellite locations as required
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience: High School Diploma. Experience in a health/patient care environment is desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of periods of standing and bending
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel as needed to satellite clinics (currently 2x per month to Rogers or Joplin)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
