Position Summary
The Kitchen Production Technician is responsible for producing and monitoring the quality of NSM candy lines, adhering to production schedules, maintaining accurate product tracking, and ensuring kitchen inventory levels are properly maintained throughout each shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Set up the depositing machine and weigh out shift batches at the start of each shift.
- Ensure production counts and methods align with company quality standards.
- Communicate with team members regarding drying and coating times of products.
- Complete all end-of-shift cleaning and closing duties as a team.
- Ensure all machines are properly set up and prepped for the following shift.
- Work respectfully and collaboratively with fellow NSM team members.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and positive work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to environmental factors such as dusts, odors, allergens, and pollen.
Work Schedule & Environment
- Full-time position with standard hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Must be willing to work weekends and maintain flexibility for a 7-day work week if necessary.
- Local travel may be required during the business day.
Competencies
- Must be able to pass all required state and federal background checks.
- Safe Food Handling Certification required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of multitasking efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior laborer or production line experience preferred but not required.
