Position Reports To
The Lawn Technician reports to the Branch Manager or the Operations Manager.
Job Functions
NaturaLawn of America is a nationally-recognized service company and cares for customers’ lawns throughout the area to ensure customer satisfaction. This involves customer communications, answering questions, and handling lawn care problems. Requires a neat, clean personal appearance and maintaining a clean work vehicle.
Company Relationships
The lawn technician works with other staff members in the branch who may help to solve a customer’s concern.
Lawn Technician Duties (included but not limited to)
- Working with the customers, their family and property while displaying honesty and respect.
- Working with other staff as part of a team effort and the sharing of responsibilities.
- Making treatments to lawns using the proper technique with professionalism.
- Being able to explain the NaturaLawn® of America program and be able to honestly and accurately promote the NaturaLawn® of America program to prospective customers.
- Conduct service calls using the procedures outlined in the "Service Call Guidelines."
- Keep in communication with customers to help avoid problems on lawns.
- Maintain and operate the service vehicle in a clean and safe manner.
- Valid driver's license with minimal infractions in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
- Project a professional image to the public.
- Be willing to work the necessary time to complete branch production.
Level of Authority
The lawn service technician can make decisions to take on new customers, provide preliminary diagnosis of lawn problems, recommend corrective action, and authorize certain amounts of credits. They may also work with anyone within the branch for assistance.
Education
High school diploma or GED required. Knowledge of agronomics is preferred, but not required as we will train.
Experience
Experience in agronomy, horticulture, or related green industry services is a plus. We will train you to complete appropriate certifications as required by the state you are employed in.
Personal Attributes
Willingness to work independently and also as a member of the team. Be self-confident in communications with customers and asking questions. Be comfortable working independently and maintaining daily and weekly work schedule.
Able to accept responsibility and be flexible with work hours and schedule. Must enjoy physical work, the outdoors, and speaking with customers.
