Job Overview
Naturally Shining - At Your Door is seeking a Licensed Manager Cosmetologist (Stylist) who will work in client's homes and at Skilled Nursing Facilities. Helping our clients obtain their goals for healthy inner shine, along with healthy hair, skin and scalp are our main goals. In addition, we go to our clients, helping them in their homes. Our main service is hair styling for all textures, and we also provide some skin care and (non-acrylic) nails (no-perms or dye). Our services are provided to youth, adults and elderly, and our selected stylist should be comfortable with styling elderly and bed-ridden clients.

Our stylist will need to have some experience with braid, twist and crochet styling. We will request pictures of styles you have done.

Managerial experience is desired, but we will train our stylist for the managerial duties of overseeing the online booking schedule, on-boarding new hires, assisting with social media posts, orders and pickup, overseeing sanitization, participating in promotional events.

Manager responsibilities will only be for three hours per week in the beginning, but we expect that to increase after the first 60 days. Managerial duties are paid $25/hour. The salary range listed at $28-$45/ hr. plus tips, is based on styling service rates.

We are scheduled to provide services one to two days per week at Optalis, a skilled nursing facility in Ann Arbor, so our provider will need to have a four hour block of time available to the facility on one weekday (Not Tuesday) and preferably Saturday or Sunday (with one weekend off per month if desired).

For home services, our stylist will take a portable salon sink and lightweight reclining chair to client's homes for full styling.

Client may need to obtain synthetic or human hair (purchased by the client) in some cases.

We provide all equipment and stylist will only have to replace items in jars, cans and bottles at their own expense.

Naturally Shining is a new service that is just beginning to obtain clients. We are expanding, and will be providing hair extensions beginning June 2025. This will be optional for stylists hired before June, but it will be a lucrative opportunity with free training. We also plan to have mobile salons by the end of the year.

Attractive commissions are available for obtaining new in-home clients and senior (nursing) facilities.

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology license in accordance with state regulations.
• Able to provide hair, beard, manicure and pedicure services.
• Reliable, stable work ethic.
• Reliable transportation.
• Liability coverage.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
• Ability to work daytime primarily and two to three evenings and/or weekends.
