Job Description: Warehouse Lead – Regional Operations Center (El Paso, TX)
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and driven Warehouse Lead to manage and oversee daily operations at our Regional Operations Center (ROC) in El Paso, TX. This role focuses on supervising production activities for vending machine assembly, shipping and receiving logistics, warehouse replenishment, and daily order fulfillment for local vending routes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage a small team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely completion of machine orders and accurate order picking for route drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management (Vending Machine Assembly)
- Oversee daily vending machine assembly processes, ensuring machines are built to specifications and meet quality standards.
- Plan and allocate resources to meet production schedules, customer order deadlines, and priority builds.
- Conduct routine quality checks on assembled machines and address any discrepancies or defects promptly.
- Lead proper assembly techniques, tools usage, and safety protocols.
Shipping and Receiving Operations
- Manage the receipt of incoming machine shipments, including machine components, inventory, and materials.
- Coordinate outgoing shipments of completed vending machines and parts to customers and other facilities.
- Ensure proper documentation for all shipments, maintaining compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize freight processes to improve cost-effectiveness and on-time delivery.
Warehouse Replenishment
- Monitor inventory levels of production components and machine parts, coordinating timely replenishment to support uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory usage and movements through Vender Management Systems (VMS).
- Organize storage areas to optimize space utilization and improve access to frequently used items.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in physical inventory audits.
Daily Order Fulfillment for Vending Routes
- Support ROC Manager and other team members picking, packing, and staging of daily orders for local vending routes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with route drivers to address order discrepancies and meet route-specific needs.
- Support the team to prioritize and adjust orders based on delivery schedules.
Team Leadership and Facility Oversight
- Lead and supervise a small team of support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Lead daily tasks, providing training, guidance, and support to achieve daily operational goals.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized facility in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Promote a culture of self accountability and continuous improvement within daily operations.
Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate with ROC Manager to Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in production, logistics, and order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with ROC leadership to optimize workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse and production operations, preferably in a manufacturing or order fulfillment environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems and related software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management, shipping/receiving practices, and safety regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in logistics, production, or operations management are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, or walking for extended periods.
- Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed (certification preferred).
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime or weekend shifts based on production and delivery demands.
