Preschool Teachers are needed for the 2025-2026 school year at Nature Coast Pre-School & Therapy Center. Our New Pre-school has positions available opening.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Create daily lesson plans using Mother Goose Time & Frog Street that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving appropriate to the development levels of the children, with clear objectives for all lessons. Targets different areas of child development, such as language, motor, and social skills.
- Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Provide a supportive environment in which children can learn and practice appropriate and acceptable individual and group behaviors.
- Attend to the personal hygiene of each child, including changing diapers or soiled clothing, washing hands and faces, and potty training,
- Clean, sanitize and straighten the classroom, toys, etc. throughout and at the end of each day.
- Maintain attendance records. May assist with entering attendance.
- Develop supportive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries. Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information to parents, coworkers, and the director on a continuous basis.
- Serve meals and snacks brought by the children.
- May prepare daily reports pertaining to eating, sleeping, and diaper changing.
- Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings.
- Attend and participate in continuous training, meeting or exceeding 10 in-service training hours annually
- Adhere to rules and regulations set forth by Nature Coast Pre-School, Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and Early Leaning Coalition (ELC).
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with preschool children in a professional setting
- Reliable transportation.
- DCF 45 Hour Child Care credential is highly mandatory; ability to complete within 90 days of employment if not already credentialed
- Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) or Child Development Associate (CDA) is highly preferred
- Current CPR & First Aid certification
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Publisher)
- Willingness to work with all preschool ages (infants through VPK)
- A positive attitude and the ability to work as a team
WHAT ELSE YOU SHOULD KNOW:
- Monday - Friday
- Hours vary, however this position averages 32-40 hours a week.
- This is a full time position and is eligible for 15 paid holidays.
- Must meet education requirements within 90 days of employment including, but not limited to, Department of Children and Families (DCF) 45 Hour Child Care Training credential. DCF also requires 10 in-service training hours annually.
