What You'll Do!
As a Manager in Training at J Brother's Investments LLC, DBA, Nature's Medicines, you will
play a crucial role in supporting the Market & General manager in the day-to-day operations
of our dispensaries across two locations, Wayne & Emmett, MI. Your responsibilities will
encompass a wide range of duties aimed at ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of
the dispensary. You will be involved in various aspects of management, including but not
limited to Training and development, compliance assurance, Inventory management,
customer service, and team leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
Rotate between multiple Nature's Medicines locations assisting in all managerial
duties with collaborative communication.
Required driving between Wayne & Emmett, MI in a weekly rotation.
Drive a culture of positive employee engagement with a strong focus on inclusion
and diversity.
Develop, coach, and execute excellent service standards and ensure consistent
execution of these steps.
Actively help manage inventory, recalls, and pricing to meet costs and sales targets.
Effectively manage cash controls and financial reporting.
Maintain awareness of cannabis and retail trends to help create innovative and
adaptive strategies.
Work together with the Market Manager to meet all regulatory requirements.
Ensure the operations of the dispensary run in a smooth and professional fashion.
Willingness to take on additional duties as needed and do so with a positive
attitude.
Processing transactions and becoming a subject matter expert on all functions of
the PSP role.
Maintains quality customer service by establishing and enforcing company
standards and handling customer inquiries and complaints.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Participates in ongoing education and professional development as needed.
Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork.
Work collectively and respectfully with other team members.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
Education & Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a dispensary is required.
At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in the retail, restaurant, grocery, or other service industry highly desired.
Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture.
Ability to lead a team.
Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle high stress situations, and be flexible and adaptable.
Excellent communication skills both verbally and through written media.
Ability to handle constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to others in the department.
Ability to articulate job goals in a manner that ensures they are completed effectively the first time.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for Extended Periods: Must be able to stand for long periods of time, as the position involves being on your feet for most of the workday.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds of products, boxes, or supplies, and assist with inventory management and restocking.
- Reaching and Bending: Must be able to reach, bend, and squat to access products on shelves, display cases, or storage areas, both at ground level and higher shelves.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle cash, credit card transactions, and inventory products with precision. You'll also need to be able to open and close containers or packaging, label products, and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Climbing or Stooping: Occasional use of ladders or step stools may be required to access products on high shelves.
- Walking: Must be able to walk around the dispensary, assisting customers, checking inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Clear Vision and Hearing: Must have good vision to accurately read labels, process transactions, and ensure product details are clear. Good hearing is necessary for communication with customers and team members in a busy environment.
- Adaptability to Environment: Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, adjusting to fluctuating customer flow and tasks throughout the day
