This is a full time position, regularly scheduled ~30-35 hours per week, with overtime when needed. Typically schedule for 5 shifts per week. This position requires open availability, since the store will be open from 8am - 12:00am daily, including holidays and weekends. The only day the store is closed is Christmas Day.

As a Lead Budtender, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of the dispensary when the manager is off duty. You will lead a team of budtenders, offering guidance, training, and support to enhance their knowledge and performance. You will be responsible for providing expert product knowledge, assisting customers with their selections, and maintaining a welcoming and compliant environment. The Lead Budtender will ensure that all sales transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, while upholding company policies and state regulations.

Pay - this position starts at $17/hour plus tips.

Basic Functions of the Job:

• Greet customers, answer questions, and provide professional assistance
• Supervises daily operations during shifts, ensuring all team members take their breaks and lunches.
• Manages discounts and pricing issues in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Maintains a clean and organized store environment, preparing it for customers at the start of your shift and ensuring it remains tidy throughout the shift.
• Opens the store as needed, ensuring cash drawers are prepared and balanced for the day.
• Closes the store when required, including reconciling cash in the drawer, safe, and ATM.
• Addresses escalated customer service issues as they arise.
• Ensures compliance with all regulations set forth by the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED).
• Tracks cash movement between drawers and the safe throughout the day, including cash payments for supplies.
• Counts and records all tips at the end of each shift, ensuring the Front Desk Receptionist receives their share.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience working as a budtender in a cannabis dispensary (1 years preferred).
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing or supervising a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Familiarity with state regulations and dispensary operations.
• Ability to motivate staff with regards to staying on task, providing great customer service, and selling our cool products!
• Ability to communicate professionally through effective verbal and written skills
• Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
• Ability to multitask, problem solve and take ownership of work
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a MED Badge
