Summary
The Distribution Manager should be a detail-oriented individual who can analyze manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution processes to identify areas of opportunity and provide solutions to improve efficiency and inventory accuracy.
The Distribution Manager will be responsible for maintaining the on-going cycle count program along with appropriate process and control activities of the perpetual inventory.
The Distribution Manager will communicate and work closely with all distribution staff and Management to ensure a smooth flow of inventory through the warehouse and distribution network, supported by timely and accurate system transactions, to ensure accurate perpetual inventory records.

- Lead the distribution team to meet individual and collective goals for high productivity, low inventory shrink, and minimize out of stock items
- Ensure the Leads and Team Members have proper access to the necessary tools and process updates to perform their assigned duties
- Direct daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
- Deliver team member training, provide performance reviews, development, and disciplinary action as appropriate
- Conduct productivity and quality audits and reconcile variances
- Coordinate materials transfers between areas
- Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; escalating technical issues
- Organize and lead focus on improved productivity levels by improving processes and the efficiency of associates' work
- Liaise with management, technical experts, suppliers, partners, and customer service representatives.
- Identify inventory center system improvements
- Plan, manage, and adjust daily workload and staffing to minimize unplanned overtime
- Ensure shift/daily/weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished (i.e., staffing, equipment, space)
- Anticipate productivity, personnel and resource needs and communicate to appropriate manager
- Ensure company and State Compliance policies are communicated, applied, and enforced (i.e., safety, accounting, operational, regulatory, and administrative)
- Maximize quality and productivity by understanding and mastering all job standards for each function, and evaluating performance variances in order to identify root cause, corrective action and training needs
- Demonstrated recent experience leading a team.
- High degree of technical knowledge relative to inventory management practices and methodologies in a multi-plant environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and build consensus among members of the organization.
- Ability to be decisive and persuasive.

- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.). Intermediate skills required in Excel and PowerPoint.
