PurLife’s Kitchen Packaging Clerk is responsible for all activity as it relates to packaging various kitchen cannabis products, including
verifying required documentation, product weighting, assembly, and labeling.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES *
- Weigh, assemble, package and label of various cannabis kitchen products.
- Provide routine maintenance and restock of processing and assembly equipment as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work area at all times.
- Records various counts as needed and tracks all packaging related issues.
- Work with various departments in the kitchen to ensure adequate stock.
- Receive, unpack, and label products and shelves as needed.
- May lead, guide and train employees to assist with packaging as needed.
- Be willing to assist in other areas as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS *
Must be able to obtain proper licensing per state’s cannabis regulations.
Must have or be willing to obtain a serve safe food handlers’ card or obtain certification per state requirements.
- Proper employment documentation and authorized to work in the US.
- Understanding of weights and measures in standard and metric systems.
- Basic math skills to adhere to different weights, including ounces and fractions of ounces to ensure proper packaging.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Trustworthy and punctual with great written and verbal skills.
- A high level of internal and external customer service.
- Ability to manage high-stress situations and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it.
- Willingness to travel extended lengths when necessary, to work extended hours when required to fulfill company growth
requirements, and to be flexible with schedule and availability.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*
Able to stand/sit for up to 10 hours and walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, lift and climb.
- Able to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Able to frequently lift- up to 50 lbs. Able to load and unload cool and hot pans - up to above shoulder height and down to below knee. · Exposure to high temperatures for long periods of time consistent with a production kitchen. Exposure to high volume, consistent and periodical loud noises. · Exposure to peanuts, dairy, and other food allergens. Dress code strictly enforced.
