Summary and candidate profile:
You will have a proven track record of driving growth, increasing household penetration, and building strategic partnerships with direct and indirect customers. As the VP Sales, you will play an instrumental role in scaling our presence in US markets, achieving ambitious revenue objectives, and leveraging your best-in-class expertise to deliver results.
You are well-connected in the industry and have a deep understanding of the route-to-market landscape. This role is ideal for an ambitious sales strategist who can holistically assess the current state of our sales operations and act as a trusted partner to our Executive Team.
The ideal candidate will bring experience from large CPG brands while also demonstrating success in driving growth within smaller, independent, or start-up companies. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the organization’s USA Retail sales strategy to drive revenue growth, optimize trade spending, market expansion, and long-term profitability
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, including new customer segments and geographical expansion across the United States.
- You will lead accountability and performance management for the sales team across the US.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives, while ensuring the company remains competitive in its industry.
- Establish short- and long-term sales objectives, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key retailers, distributors, wholesalers, and broker partners to drive distribution.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities.
- Leading and building teams, inspiring action, and a focus on execution.
Qualifications and Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in sales, strategy, and leadership roles within the CPG industry.
- Proven success in developing go-to market strategies and sales growth.
- Exceptional relationship-building, mentoring, and negotiation skills.
- Your background spans across a variety of channels and large US based customers.
- A strong network of retail and distribution contacts.
- Ability to travel within North America up to 50%.
