What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Process Manager position at Nature's Vault?
The Senior Process Manager, will lead the development and oversight of the molded fiber production process including feedstock preparation, pulping, and thermoforming, along with assistance in the development of the site QC program. The Manager will lead their team to improve processes post startup of Nature’s Vault, and focus on optimization of asset areas by working cross functionally across the enterprise. The Senior Manager, Process is a member of Nature’s Vault Senior Leadership Team. The Senior Process Manager reports directly to Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Proficient and leads by example all aspects of workplace safety – a Safety Champion.
- Lead the development, startup and optimization of the facility pulping system, thermoforming and process waste/management aspects onsite.
- Manage asset startup in certain areas of the facility, and optimize to reach maximum productivity, quality and yield.
- Develop and manage a process improvement plan within each respective area of the plant, and engage key stakeholders to ensure key metrics within each area are realized.
- Assist and direct aspects of the site Quality Control program as necessary.
- Serve as a champion for KPI performance and improvements post startup, in an ownership driven fashion – areas include plant expansion assistance, delignification, lignin recovery, process water treatment, production areas, and inventory storage/management.
- Interfaces and collaborates with site maintenance leadership to ensure machine center performance is optimal, and that downtime or issues identified during their shift window are communicated appropriately through a high degree of teamwork.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent post-secondary education in engineering, management, business or other similar curriculum.
- High degree of self-motivation and results oriented.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Teams, etc) Proficient.
- Working knowledge of industrial safety best practices, guidelines, and regulations.
- Must be able to work wide schedule, as emergencies and business conditions require, including ability to work in hot, cold, noisy and dusty conditions.
- Must be self-driven, and demonstrate a high level of ownership of process performance.
3-5 years minimum working in an industrial setting, with preference towards leadership experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- PE Certification or PHD in an appropriate applied science discipline.
