What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Nature's Way Creating Better Days?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To ensure the interminable and efficient manufacturing of products through the machine.
- The Machine Operator is required to follow the production plan list and complete daily tasks.
- The Machine Operator is expected to complete some mechanical fixes on the machine if needed.
- To complete all necessary and assigned cleaning of equipment, trays, machinery, floors, and others.
- To set up machines (preparing, choosing correct settings, preheating, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
- To control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed) as needed.
- To fill up tanks of the machines with raw materials and ingredients. To weigh ingredients and materials.
- To inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
- To test the operation of machines periodically
- To fix issues that might occur during the shift
- To check the output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
- To keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
- To maintain activity logs.
- To quality check products that were manufactured
- To clean the equipment and work areas during and at the end of the shift.
- To perform all other assigned duties.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards.
- Willingness to learn and improve during on-the-job training.
- Education- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have reliable transportation.
- Maintaining safety, quality, cleanliness, & production standard of our lab.
- Ability to speak, understand and write English.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously.
- Ability to walk or stand throughout the duration of your shift.
- Able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
- Take instructions from the team leader, supervisors, and managers.
- Good with conversions (g-mg, L-mL, etc).
- Ability to multitask. Good communication skills. High level of teamwork. Cleanliness is a must.
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)
- Maintaining safety, quality, cleanliness, & production standard of our lab.
- Must present a high level of teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
- To meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.

SCHEDULE
Tuesday-Friday (7:30 am – 6:00 pm (includes two optional 15-min. paid breaks; one 30-minute unpaid lunch).
