Position: Irrigation Technician
Landscape Irrigation Technician Job Description:
- Layout and install new irrigation systems.
- Make additions to and enhance existing irrigation systems.
- Troubleshoots irrigation systems to determine repairs needed.
- Evaluate and test irrigation systems for proper functioning.
- Start up and winterize irrigation systems according to seasonal priorities or pre-established schedules.
Landscape Irrigation Technician Skills/Qualifications:
- 2-year experience working on commercial and residential landscape irrigation crews
- Proficient on Installing, Scheduling and programming Irrigation controllers.
- Able to trouble shoot valve issues and make repairs to irrigation systems.
- Have a general knowledge of landscape and horticultural hydration needs.
- Ability to organize and manage time spent on irrigation job sites and projects.
- Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. and working in adverse (hot, cold, wet) conditions.
- This position reports on site to our location in Pelham, AL. This position will report and work under the direction of Supervisor on various job sites throughout the Birmingham area.
- Typical hours are 6:20 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Thursday. These are adjusted based on the time of the year and scheduling of jobs.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Driving Record will be checked, a clean Driving Record is required.
- Candidate must have a personal vehicle; reliable transportation is required.
- It is required that all Team Members must undergo a Full Drug Screen and Criminal Background Checks in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Starting Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
