Our Chinese base in Suzhou, Jiangsu manufacture and distribute a range of medical device products used in the diagnosis of human neurological disorders.

Company Accountant

Reporting to : Division Controller / Sr. Director China Operations

Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):

· Responsible for Statutory audit compliance of China entities Suzhou , Beijing , Hong Kong.

· Responsible for general ledger and month end reporting to tight deadlines.

· Maintain internal controls and provide insight on opportunities for process improvement.

· Management of accounts receivable and payable for the company .

· Performing Cash collections and credit reviews .

· Management of local bank accounts , cash flow and local treasury matters.

· Management of employee expenses . Ensure compliance with policy and local requirements.

· Fixed asset management and control of capital expenditure to tight budget.

· Preparation review and analysis of monthly and quarterly reconciliations.

· Support the operations team in China . Provide analysis on day to day operations as required.

· Oversee sales tax reporting and filing on a monthly basis.

· Support Corporate tax team with various queries.

· Assist with reporting and ad hoc projects as required.

· Provide support to other functions as required.

· Supervision and development of team members.

Qualifications and skills required:

· Bachelor’s degree from college or university in Accounting and/or Finance.

· Accounting qualification. ACCA or equivalent.

· 5 years of experience gained in a multinational company with manufacturing exposure advantageous.

· Experience of statutory accounting and VAT in other European countries an advantage.

· Excellent knowledge of local accounting regulations and standards.

· Self-starter with willingness to take initiative and follow through on tasks.

· Ability to work on own initiative as well as multi-tasking and working to deadlines.

· Excellent Excel/IT skills, Oracle experience advantageous.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to provide effective customer service to various levels of individuals/teams and build strong working relationships across the organisation.

· Collaborative team player; adaptable and comfortable working in a changing and fast paced environment
