Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both commercial and residential settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained
- Execute industrial cleaning procedures for larger facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Manage custodial duties including restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies
- Assist in facilities maintenance tasks, addressing minor repairs and reporting larger issues to management
- Carry out residential painting as needed to enhance the appearance of facilities
- Maintain outdoor areas by performing porter duties such as litter removal and landscaping upkeep
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use
Skills
- Proficient in commercial cleaning techniques with experience in custodial roles
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Familiarity with floor care equipment and techniques, including buffing machines
- Basic skills in facilities maintenance and minor repair work
- Ability to perform residential painting tasks when required
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team
