With a team of 5-10 employees, we specialize in preparing 1000 individual and over 350 business tax returns annually. We pride ourselves on offering high-quality services to our clients.
Position Overview:
This role will be responsible for both individual and complex tax returns during tax season and assisting the team with accounting work during non-peak. This individual will also need to be comfortable cleaning up financial statements as company returns are being prepared. Effective planning for busy season aims to keep working hours reasonable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns.
- Serve as a technical resource on federal and state tax regulations.
- Participate in tax planning and advisory services for high-net-worth individuals and businesses.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations, and provide guidance on regulatory reporting.
- Drive improvements in workflow, efficiency, and quality within the tax team.
- Analyze tax-related financial reports to identify performance metrics and operational efficiency.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and implement changes as necessary.
Requirements:
- CPA license (in good standing).
- 2 years of experience in public accounting
- Strong expertise in individual and business tax returns, tax planning, and compliance.
- Proven ability to manage complex tax issues and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Excellent analytical skills and familiarity with financial report interpretation.
- Exceptional client service skills and experience managing client relationships.
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws, as well as regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in CCH ProSystem FX software and other accounting systems.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Compensation:
Ranges between $90,000 and $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
