Position Summary : We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to develop and execute coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs for inspecting complex cast and machined components. This role ensures that parts meet customer and industry specifications through precise measurement and verification processes.

Key Responsibilities :

CMM Programming & Operation : Develop, modify, and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS or similar software to inspect castings and machined components.
Inspection & Quality Verification : Conduct dimensional inspections, interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and analyze CMM reports to ensure compliance with specifications.
Process Improvement : Work closely with quality, engineering, and production teams to improve measurement techniques, reduce inspection time, and enhance accuracy.
Calibration & Maintenance : Maintain CMM equipment and troubleshoot machine or programming issues.
Documentation & Reporting : Record inspection results, create detailed reports, and assist in root cause analysis for non-conforming parts.
Compliance & Standards : Ensure all inspections align with customer requirements, industry standards (ASME, ASTM, MIL-STD), and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Experience :

Required :

Minimum 3 years of experience programming and operating CMMs in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in MCOSMOS, PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent CMM programming software.

Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Ability to use various precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and data analysis.

Preferred :

Experience in castings, machining, or working with the Navy and nuclear industries.

Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality standards.

Experience with first article inspections (FAI).

Experience programing Faro Arms for dimensional inspections.
