Position Overview: As a CNC Programmer at PRL, you will be responsible for programming and operating a variety of CNC machining centers. You will machine parts to customer specifications, following blueprints and standards to ensure precision and quality.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Related machining experience is required.
- Proficiency with CNC programs, blueprints, and measuring tools.
- Knowledge of shop math, trigonometry, and geometric dimensioning/tolerancing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Set up and operate various CNC milling machines and lathes.
2. Familiarity with G and M programming codes, including minor program edits.
3. Create machine programs to ensure parts meet precise tolerances.
4. Design and utilize jigs and fixtures as needed.
5. Maintain accurate records and a clean, organized work area.
6. Provide technical support and develop manufacturing process layouts.
7. Conduct product development projects and improve machining efficiencies.
8. Train production machinists and troubleshoot manufacturing problems.
What You Need:
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- CNC programming experience with CREO is a plus.
- Experience with design software like CREO and Solidworks is preferred.
