AR Specialist

Summary

The Senior accounts receivable specialist provides expertise and oversight of billing modules to ensure the financial department is accurately billing, collecting and posting deposits in the most efficient manner.

This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure financial reporting, you will report to the Corporate Controller.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs invoicing for customers and subsidiary organizations
• Enters revenue into subledger systems to generate financial transactions
• Creates wharf sheets for specific contract customers
• Runs and reconciles preliminary job status reports to job cost documents
• Runs production analysis reports
• Performs vessel invoicing
• Maintains Excel invoice templates and customer rate sheets
• Gathers backup documentation necessary for completing the invoice process
• Reconciles timesheets to Payroll summary reports
• Create, maintain and modify customer information in both general ledger and subledger systems
• Applies daily cash deposits to customer remittance information
• Maintain and manage customer accounts receivable aging information to ensure timely collection of cash
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent degree (preferred).
• 5 years of overall professional experience.
• Experience with Dynamics GP, NetSuite and/or other cloud-based accounting systems/ERP.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
