Job Description
We offer Monday to Friday the first shift, 5:30 am - 4 pm, for $17/hour, depending on experience. Overtime may be required at times based on the needs of the business. This is a full-time opportunity, working in the Small Parts department of our manufacturing plant. The right individual will learn to do a variety of jobs in this department, such as infusion molding, waxing, cleaning, cutting fiberglass, and maintaining the molds that help create the best Quality boats around. We will teach you to sand and buff the molds, while also drilling holes and laminating. If you are eager to work with your hands, then this is a position for you. You will prep the mold for infusion, which will include buffing and laying the pre-cut fiberglass onto the mold to make it ready for cutting. Each mold must be covered and gel-coated properly and ready for infusion. This is an important step in the production of the Nautique Boats.
Qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for receiving and prepping the mold for infusion.
- Securing pre-cut fiberglass to ensure proper distribution and covering of mold is complete.
- Be able to eliminate bubbles in fiberglass once it has been applied.
- Follow the instruction of the Supervisor/foreman/lead
- Light sanding of parts when necessary.
- Inspects all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
- Must comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.

Tools used in this occupation include but are not limited to:
- Personal Protective Equipment- Safety Glasses, protective apron, and may need a half-mask or dust/mist respirator.
- Hand Tools- Rollers, sanders, and scissors.
- Working directly with fiberglass, resin, and gel coat.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience include but are not limited to:
- Be able to use small hand tools including scissors, razor knife, etc.
- Be able to drive a forklift.
- Must be able to inspect and identify defects or damage to molds.
- Follow the instruction of the Supervisor/foreman/lead.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Work with a team to complete daily tasks.
- The ability to see details at close range
Physical and Work Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature
- Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to climb into and out of the interior of boats
- Must be able to wear proper safety equipment as needed
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary
- Be able to use and maintain small hand tools (grinder, scraper, razor knife, blower, etc)
- This is a safety-sensitive position
