Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), particularly in AEB front camera testing and braking functionality, as well as extensive experience in on-vehicle testing and using advanced data logger tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vehicle-level testing for AEB front camera systems, braking functionality, and other ADAS features (e.g., LDW, TSR).
- Understand the functional scope of ADAS products and analyze performance requirements for testability.
- Define and implement function-specific test components, architectures, workflows, and specifications.
- Write test scripts, pseudo-code, and develop ground truth requirements for AEB front camera systems and related ADAS functions.
- Operate and maintain data logger tools such as GL Loggers, Smart Loggers, In-Vehicle-Data-Logger, TTX-DataLogger, RAD-Gigastar, neoVI RED 2 Series, and PM-300 for capturing and analyzing test results.
- Collaborate with test managers, labeling teams, core test developers, and function developers to manage daily testing activities.
- Support execution engineers during release tests, including execution and report generation.
- Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and discuss findings with developers, test managers, and stakeholders.
- Provide root cause analysis support for inadequate performance of AEB and other ADAS functions.
- Perform risk assessments and participate in discussions with test managers and stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate a team of 2–3 test developers and support multiple projects based on functional complexity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related field.
- 5-6 years of experience in vehicle testing with a strong focus on AEB front camera systems and braking functionalities.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining data logger tools such as GL Loggers, Smart Loggers, TTX-DataLogger, RAD-Gigastar, neoVI RED 2 Series, and PM-300.
- Strong knowledge of ADAS functions, including AEB, LDW, TSR, and autonomous driving algorithms.
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and big data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Understanding of ISO 26262 and functional safety standards.
- ISTQB CTFL certification is a plus.
- Professional experience in test script development, validation, and on-vehicle testing.
- Knowledge of AWS, AI, machine learning, deep learning, and data mining techniques.
- Proficiency in UML, VISIO, and MS Office tools.
- Experience in algorithm development and understanding of ADAS safety concepts and reprocessing workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced statistical analysis and data science skills.
- Hands-on experience with automotive network tools like neoVI.
- Familiarity with product development and testing engineering practices in the automotive domain.
