Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to supporting individuals in their journey towards mental wellness and personal growth. This role involves providing therapeutic services, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans for clients facing various challenges, including mental health issues, addiction, and disabilities. The Counselor will work collaboratively with clients to empower them in achieving their goals through evidence-based practices.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide mental health counseling and support for clients dealing with various issues, including addiction, crisis situations, and special education needs.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver counseling services remotely when necessary.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate care and resources for clients.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients in distress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages client engagement and participation in their own care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care provided to clients.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Relevant licensure or certification as a Counselor is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in case management practices and mental health counseling techniques.
- Familiarity with telehealth services and technology is a plus.
- Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation, patient care, crisis intervention, and addiction counseling.
- Knowledge of Christian counseling principles is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence when required.
