Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our mental health team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine patient needs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient requirements.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various settings, including memory care, acute care, and home care environments.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance psychiatric practices and improve patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with healthcare regulations and coding standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing or equivalent.
- Active Nurse Practitioner license with certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
- Experience in critical care settings such as PICU or acute pain management is preferred.
- Proficiency in IV insertion techniques and sonography is a plus.
- Familiarity with memory care systems and clinical research methodologies is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
