As a Dentist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dental care while ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are all to be performed according to the National Standard of Care
- Provide competent dental management of all patients
- Examine, diagnose, and treat dental needs of patients
- Order medications, treatments, x-rays, etc. as needed
- Document carefully, accurately, and completely all patient encounter’s in the EHR
- Discuss prescribed treatments and explain procedures with patients, parents, or guardians as
- applicable
- Monitor patient’s condition and progress and re-evaluates treatment as necessary
- Refer patients to outside specialist when necessary
- Provide counseling, education, and instructions to patients according to their needs
- Provider charting should be completed within 24 hours from patient encounter
- Medication Refills and all other provider tasks should be processed within 24 hours
- Each provider is responsible to take call for their own patients after hours. If provider will be out of town or unavailable, it is their responsibility to arrange coverage with another provider
- Maintain patient confidentiality, following HIPAA regulations
- Follow corporate compliance standards, carefully avoiding all forms of Medicare/Medicaid fraud and abuse
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education and licensure: DDS or DMD license to practice dentistry. Valid and current dental license in the state of CA
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, complete short correspondence, and memos.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform mathematical skills necessary for medication administration, and other skills as needed.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Interpersonal skills: Demonstrate high level of interpersonal and communication skills necessary to consistently interact with patients, patient’s family, and staff members in a professional manner. The provider should be able to deal with unhappy patients or difficult situations, and always be professional and courteous.
