Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning Resident Rooms: Dust, mop, and vacuum floors; clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, and showers; empty trash and replace liners; change bed linens and make beds as needed.
- Maintaining Common Areas: Clean and sanitize hallways, lounges, dining areas, and other common spaces; ensure that floors are free of debris and spills; dust furniture and fixtures.
- Restocking Supplies: Ensure that bathrooms and common areas are stocked with necessary supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and other items.
- Laundry Duties: Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing for residents.
- Disinfection: Regularly disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, handrails, and light switches, to prevent the spread of infections.
- Waste Management: Properly dispose of waste materials, including hazardous waste, in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
- Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, damages, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor; report any unusual resident behavior or health concerns to nursing staff.
- Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols; follow facility policies and procedures.
- Resident Interaction: Interact courteously and respectfully with residents, responding to their needs and concerns in a compassionate manner.
