What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cartographic Assessment Analyst I position at Navajo County?
Under limited supervision, performs technical work of moderate difficulty in drafting and mapping and property assessment; performs advanced processes to create reports, analyze and utilize them to support daily work; performs related work as assigned.(Essential function, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. - Communicates with any stakeholder on assessment information and procedures
- Assists in establishing and maintaining documentation of procedures and practices
- Performs statistical analysis and reporting as required
- Assists other departments and staff as required
- Answers phones and performs required follow up
- Organizes all workload and documents in accordance with office policies and procedures
- Meets all required deadlines
- Ability to assist vendors as needed
- Assists with training of staff members
- Able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with Navajo County staff, the public and other agencies
- Assists with the maintenance and assessment maps
- Researches and interprets related documents, maps, and drawings
- Gathers and inputs data using Assessment procedures for the valuation of all properties
- Responds to public questions regarding legal descriptions, maps, and other assessment details
- Provides update information as required
- Coordinates with outside agencies to provide assessment information
- Knowledge of legal documents and assessment maps
- Knowledge of the principals, practices and techniques used in property assessment
- Knowledge of the guidelines and statutes effecting property assessment
- Knowledge of fundamental mapping software
- Skill in operating common office equipment including computers and associated office software
- Skill in analyzing data and reports for use data Integrity
- Skills in effective communication with the public and staff
- Skill in utilizing software to retrieve data to ensure quality of job responsibility
