What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafeteria Cashier position at Navajo Tribal Utility Authority?
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- 1 year cashing or customer service.
- 1 year cash handling experience.
- Valid Food Handler's Card required.
- Navajo speaking is preferred
- Valid Driver's License required (subject to motor vehicle record review)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
- Greets all customers promptly and courteously.
- Operate an IPAD based register and collect payments for service.
- Computes bill, itemized lists and tickets showing amount due on the cash register.
- Receives cash, credit-card transactions from customers and employees.
- Prepares and balances bank deposits, cash transactions.
- Counts money in drawer at beginning and end of shift.
- Counts money to verify amounts and issue receipts for funds received.
- Compares totals on cash register with amount of currency in register to verify balances. Balances cash drawer on a daily basis.
- Gives cash refunds upon manager or cook supervisor approval.
- Cleans counters after customers have finished.
- Maintains stock in front of house for beverage station, grab & go, condiment station and salad bar during service.
- Assists customers with questions and resolve customer complaints.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
