What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Maintenance Custodian position at Navajo Tribal Utility Authority?
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
1-2 years of experience in building maintenance.
1-2 years of experience in custodial work.
Valid Driver's License required (subject to motor vehicle record review).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Sweeps and cleans floors and working areas, picks up papers and refuse from grounds, assists in the handling of heavy materials, makes minor repairs, mows lawns, shovels snow and performs related duties.
Cleans fixtures, equipment, windows, walls, restrooms, etc. Stocks supplies in restrooms as needed.
Performs periodic inspections of buildings and makes recommendations on needed repairs, installations, etc.
Conducts all job duties in a safety conscious manner that reflects safety for others as well as self in work habits and in carrying out assignments.
Plants, waters, prune, and otherwise maintain flowerbeds, shrubs, trees and lawns.
Sweeps walkways and staircases.
Rakes and removes fallen leaves.
Applies snow-melting chemicals when necessary on roads, walkways and outside staircases.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
