MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED certificate
Valid Driver's License required (subject to motor vehicle record review)
Vocational Certification. Completion of a Bona fide Apprenticeship Program
CDL Class "B" with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor vehicle review).
Forklift Certificate.
Materials Journeyman Certificate.
5 years Warehouse experience
3 years Supervisory experience.
Computerized inventory control and database experience
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Improves staff effectiveness by counseling, training and recommending corrective action for employees; planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner.
Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, time approval, hiring, training, orientation, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
Develop measurable performance expectations for assigned staff according to department goals and objectives.
Business Process Owner for SAP Materials Module. Works with vendor on any needed modifications.
Implements and monitors department standards, guidelines and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of department.
Monitors all inventory and non-inventory items and manages these assets to achieve the most appropriate stock levels and ordering schedules.
Coordinates placement and decision of inventory items according to usage patterns.
Conducts monthly inventories in order to report and reduce variances.
Monitors safety practices and makes necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Takes part in daily, cycle, and month end inventory; Process accurate inventory records.
Evaluate department performance and makes recommendations to management to improve efficiency of operations.
Schedules shipments ensuring adequate supplies and inventory.
Enters and retrieves data in SAP with proficiency and accuracy.
Oversees computer operations, data entry and data control.
Arranges for the transfer/sale/disposal of scrap, obsolete or surplus materials.
Performs all warehouse duties.
Prepares or assists with the preparation of scheduled and/or ad hoc statistical and narrative reports; performs information gathering and analysis and/or forecasting, as specifically directed.
Ensures warehouse is clean and orderly.
Performs other duties as assigned
